CEDOFEITA LIVE
CEDOFEITA LIVE x FAUPFEST -
SOLAR CORONA ELEKTRISCHE MACHINE / CONFERÊNCIA INFERNO
This episode is different from the usual! FAUPfest is 10 years old and we went to the AEFAUP library to show a little bit of what has already happened and what will happen there this year. For this, we invited Solar Corona Elektrische Machine, who participated in the festival in 2023, and Conferência Inferno, who will be there this year (May 16th!)
"Solar Corona is a multifaceted rock music collective. A core group that has brought together Rodrigo Carvalho, José Roberto Gomes, Peter Carvalho and Nuno Loureiro. In Solar Corona Elektrishe Maschine they leave behind drums, guitars and amplifiers to fully embrace improvisation using electronic, digital and analogue instruments. New percussions, methods of amplification and processing, and the bass as the foundation of groove, placing at the center of this format the constant discovery of two aspects: repetition and unpredictability."
"Conferência Inferno is a trio from Porto composed of Raul Mendiratta, Francisco Lima and José Miguel Silva. After the release of their debut album Ata Saturna in 2021, the band released their second full-length album, Pós-Esmeralda, in 2023. With a growing punk energy and a pulsating rhythmic epilepsy of new wave, the group from Porto Alegre creates dark songs inspired by postpunk. The album is the result of a macabre ritual of this new Western era pandemonium, full of irony, grief, ecstasy and contortions. Pós-Esmeralda invites listeners to dance in the face of the end of the world."
